How a single breath of life unites us all — S11E17

This article is a synthesis of the Anatman Odyssey of October 18, 2026, a journey in three movements — yoga, chanting and guided meditation — in which silence had the last word.

There are Sundays when everything seems suspended. On this October 18, autumn bathed Saint-Nexans in a tender light, and something in the air invited us to let go, again and again. ✨

There we were, scattered to the four corners of the world — from Réunion Island to Great Britain, from France to faraway lands — and yet, by the grace of an invisible thread, we were about to find ourselves united in one single great breath of life. 🕊️

When silence becomes the greatest of teachers

Some meditations speak. And some fall silent. This Sunday, we tasted both, and it may well be the second that transformed us the most. 💫

Alexandre Anatman had set the tone from the very start: “a guided meditation with realization, or perhaps a guided meditation with silence, we’ll see”. As if he already knew that life was going to choose for us.

And life chose silence. An inhabited, vibrant silence, filled with breathing and presence. 🌿

Before diving in, there was yoga to loosen the body, chanting to free the heart, and then this final crossing where not a single word was needed. That day, we learned that the Non-Self sometimes reveals itself better in what is left unsaid than in what is taught.

“We are going to begin by making an individual sound, and link that sound with this altered state of consciousness.”

Realizations during the guided meditation of the Anatman Odyssey

🎁 This 10-minute excerpt from the beginning of the guided meditation (in French) is offered to you by ANATMAN TV.

After the chanting, after the mantras, after “Jaya Seeyaram Jay Jay Hanuman” and “Amor, amor, Anjaninan” had vibrated through the Anatman TV studio, we lay down. Foot against foot. Hand against hand. And something unusual happened: the meditation unfolded almost entirely in silence. 🕊️

Few words. Just a handful of instructions, laid down like stepping stones across water, to guide us toward a place where no words were needed anymore. Each sentence Alexandre spoke was like a seal. Here they all are, just as they were offered.

I let everything go on the out-breath

“I breathe in and I let everything go.”

A seed phrase. A mantra phrase. It keeps returning, the way a wave returns to the shore. Every in-breath is an offering, every out-breath a surrender. ✨

And in this simple rhythm, the body learns that it has nothing to hold on to. That holding on was an illusion. That letting go is not losing — it is welcoming what comes naturally, effortlessly, without control.

Feeling the feet connected

“I feel my feet connected.”

Foot against foot. Skin against skin. In the Anatman TV studio, bodies touch. From afar, hearts align. 🌱

Connection begins from below, with what grounds us. The feet, those humble messengers of the sacred, become gateways into the Non-Self. What we believed to be separate reveals itself as one.

Feeling the hands connected

“I feel the hands, connected.”

Then the hands. The ones that give, the ones that receive. And in this hand-to-hand contact, something comes back together that perhaps had never really been apart. 💖

The hands become a circuit, a loop of love. Energy passes, returns, circulates. It is no longer you, no longer me — it is us, in one single great body.

Letting go beyond the out-breath

“It keeps letting go, even after the out-breath.”

Here is the secret revealed. The out-breath is only the beginning of letting go. Afterwards, in that suspended space where nothing moves anymore, true surrender begins. 🦋

In this silence between two breaths, something deeper relaxes. The invisible layers. The forgotten tensions. The ancestral holding back. Everything gives way. It keeps letting go, even when we think we have given everything.

One single great breath of life

“All together, united in one single great breath of life.”

And suddenly, the shift. The moment when the I melts into the we. The moment when Réunion Island, Great Britain and France become one single breath. 💫

One breath. One consciousness. One life breathing through thousands of bodies. This is the simplest and most overwhelming revelation of the Non-Self: we have never been separate. We had only forgotten. 🌟

Gratitude for sharing

“Gratitude, thank you.”

Two words. A heartbeat. A thankfulness rising from the heart of the group. 🙏

Gratitude is not a matter of politeness. It is the fragrance that rises naturally once we have tasted the sacred. Once we have touched this oneness, even for an instant, it is impossible not to give thanks. Impossible not to bow.

Disconnecting the feet and hands

“And we are going to disconnect, very gently, the feet and the hands, and find our individuality again, gratitude.”

We also need to know how to come back. Gently. With tenderness. The journey into oneness does not abolish individual form — it blesses it. 🌿

The feet come apart. The hands separate. But something remains. An imprint. A cellular memory. The individuality we return to is no longer the same: it now knows that it contains the whole ocean.

Ending in silent meditation

“And for those of you who wish, well, we can finish our silent meditation.”

And there it is. The rest is silence. This immense silence that held the whole meditation, that enveloped it, that carried it. 🕊️

This silence was not empty. It was full. Full of shared breathing, of presences recognizing one another, of consciousness observing itself. As Sophie wrote in the chat: “I used this silent meditation to cleanse my energetic and subtle bodies.” Silence works. Silence heals. ✨

In this final silence, each of us could hear what cannot be spoken. The instructions had vanished. All that remained was being, bare, offered, suspended in the grace of an October Sunday.

A final “I love you”

“I love you, I love you.”

And to seal the journey, this tender repetition. I love you, I love you. Said twice, so that it sinks in. Said twice, so that no doubt remains. 💞

Who is this I love you meant for? For each participant. For oneself. For Life. For the entire universe. It is an I love you with no addressee, because it needs none — it is love itself, speaking itself, recognizing itself. 🌟

“I love you, I love you.”

The power of sacred habit

Every Sunday, at the same time, the same ritual. Yoga to raise our vibration, chanting to surrender, meditation to disappear. 🌱

It is not a program. It is not a routine. It is a sacred habit, and the difference is immense. A program lives in your place. A sacred habit brings you back to yourself, Sunday after Sunday, like a stone patiently laid on the path of awakening.

Repetition is not monotony. It is embodiment. Each Sunday digs the furrow a little deeper, and in that furrow settles the memory of the body, the memory of the heart, the memory of who we truly are. 💞

Alexandre reminded us of it at the opening: “I release in love everything that keeps me from awakening, from freeing myself from all the unconscious programs that want to live in my place”. That is the heart of the work: choosing the sacred habit over the automatic program. 🦋

And then there is that fragile thread linking one Sunday to the next. A tribe that gathers again, that recognizes itself. “Gratitude for creating a tribe for myself, gratitude. Gratitude for creating lots of friends for myself, gratitude.” Each week, love flows a little more freely. ✨

“I release in love everything that keeps me from being love, from living love, from welcoming love.”

Realization of the Yoga

Before the silence, there was movement. And what movement it was. ✨

Alexandre began with an individual sound, a deep, territorial, expressive sound, to assert expression and one’s place. Then the postures followed one after another, each carrying its message: calves contracted, thighs, glutes, abs, as if to awaken every muscle to its presence. 🌿

“I rise, I rise, I rise, I rise” — the repetition became a mantra. Suspended from the crown of the head, from the hands, by the upward momentum, the body learned to rise without straining. There was, Alexandre confided, “a delight in the stretch in the lower back”. 💫

Then the blindfold. Removing visual reality. Leaning forward. Massaging the cheeks, the jaw. Letting the thumb massage all by itself — “it’s no longer me massaging, turning with the thumb, it happens by itself”. The first major realization: the body knows. The body does. The ego is only a spectator. 🦋

Circles with the chin, arms to the sky, the posture of surrender with the arms back. And this overwhelming declaration repeated in chorus: “To life, I love you, I love you. Oh yes, I’m in love, in love with you.” Love for Life itself. 💖

Then the right leg raised perpendicular with the strap, the lower back pressed to the floor. “If it shakes, it shakes. Let it shake. I surrender to the shaking.” The body releases what it had been holding for years. 🌟

And this sentence that sums it all up: “Beyond this presence, this consciousness, something welcomes everything.” In the posture, in the stretch, in the shaking, something within us observes and surrenders. ✨

Finally, conscious walking, blindfolded. Finding a wall, pressing against it, feeling verticality. Then walking with eyes closed. Then opening them and letting the body walk on its own. And something new: “just send out an intention of destination and then surrender completely”. Learning to dissociate from the I, from programs and from the self. 🕊️

“I am learning to dissociate from the I, from programs and from the self.”

“Beyond this presence, this consciousness, something welcomes everything.”

From this meditation was born the Theory of the Creation of Reality

This Sunday, a quiet yet powerful revelation ran through the practice: “just send out an intention of destination and then surrender completely”. There, in a single sentence, is the heart of the Theory of the Creation of Reality. 💫

We don’t have to decide on the route. We only have to set the intention — pure, clear, without attachment — and let Life, the universe, the Non-Self take care of the rest. It is in this active surrender that reality is created, not in tense control. ✨

And when the breath of thousands of participants comes together as one, something far vaster than a meditation takes place: a field of shared consciousness that transforms the very fabric of reality. 🌟

All together, united in one single great breath of life.

It keeps letting go, even after the out-breath.

Beyond this presence, this consciousness, something welcomes everything.
