This article is a synthesis of the Yoga Anatman session of September 30, 2026, a late-September morning when Indian summer was still drifting into the studio, its doors flung wide open to the golden light.
It is eight o’clock. ✨ A wave of warmth moves through the room like a late blessing. Bodies settle, breaths fall into tune, and already something is coming to rest. Can you feel it? That quiet quiver, that promise of opening that comes before every session.
This morning, Alexandre Anatman invites us on a special journey: not to become someone, but to remove everything that keeps us from being what we already are. 🌿 A subtle shift. A reversal of perspective that changes everything.
What if you were already perfect?
The question hangs in the air, as light as a feather, as heavy as a century of conditioning. 🦋 For how many times have we been taught the opposite? How many inner voices still whisper that we must earn it, prove ourselves, improve?
And yet. This morning, a mantra returns again and again like a gentle wave: “I am perfect just as I am.” 💫 Not to inflate the ego, but to recognize the sacred already pulsing in each of us. To honor the divinity that has never stopped being there, patient, silent, simply waiting to be seen.
It is this recognition that the session explores, in the body, in the breath, in the tears that sometimes rise without warning. 💞 A teaching of alignment, of sovereignty, and of infinite kindness toward oneself.
The Morning Teaching
Today’s elixir is an alignment elixir. ✨ A cup of hot chai or green tea in your hands, your back nice and straight, and a series of mantras that will lay into every cell an ancient, often forgotten truth: you are already perfect.
Alexandre unfolds the central mantra: “I release in love everything that keeps me from surrendering, from letting go.” Then comes the cascade: the programs, the memories, the conditioning, everything that keeps us from saying what we feel, from expressing ourselves in real time. 💞 Each sentence is a door swinging open.
Then the teaching opens onto wider ground: speech creates reality. 🌟 Alexandre reminds us that life is a video game so advanced that it listens to everything we express. The body, the voice, our actions: all of it is user interface. That is why the Toltec agreements work: the Mexican shamans and healers understood that impeccable speech creates an impeccable reality.
“If you say just anything, you’ll generate just anything. It’s as simple as that.”
Then comes the mantra that brings the whole room to tears: “I am perfect just as I am.” 💖 Alexandre insists: this is not arrogance, it is not inflating the ego, it is stepping into the sacred. “Yes, I am divine, but so are you. Everyone is, in fact.”
The teaching points out a major conceptual error: in our society, as soon as someone loves and recognizes themselves, people call it selfishness. 🦋 But that is a confusion: “It isn’t the ego, it’s the absolute recognizing this reality.” Recognizing your own divinity changes your vibration, makes you more beautiful, more luminous. You can feel it energetically.
Alexandre also reveals the root: self-denial often comes from childhood, from parental projections. 🌿 “Sometimes, in the parents’ heads, there’s this: I’m not allowed to exist, so my child isn’t allowed to exist either, otherwise they’d show me up.” Understanding this means being able to release the root and finally choose to exist fully.
Finally, the teaching culminates in conscious creation: “I release in love everything that would have me play the same game as my parents. I create my own game within the game, I create.” 🕊️ You don’t have to play society’s game, nor your lineage’s. You can embody your own score, in full awareness, in full freedom.
Realizations During Yoga Anatman
🎁 This 10-minute excerpt of the session’s realizations (in French) is offered to you by ANATMAN TV.
The first OM rises, low and deep. 🙏 A great OM of love that resonates through the room and through every cell. Alexandre sets the tone from the start: “Millions of details. That’s life, life is millions of details.” Awareness will seep in everywhere this morning, into the tiniest folds of the body.
First the hands massage the jaw and cheeks. 🌱 A silent zone of accumulated tension, a fortress of words held back. Then the arms rise toward the sky, suspended, the shoulder blades stretch, the lower back tenderly opens. Alexandre tosses out this line that makes us smile and cry at once:
“If you’re not moved, filled with bliss, then you haven’t done enough yoga.”
The toes contract, then the glutes, the abs, the thighs. The whole body becomes a living vertical line, stretched between earth and sky. ✨ And then comes surrender. The keyword that will return like a refrain throughout the session. “I surrender to my inner yogi master.”
The thumbs hook together at the lower back, the blindfold slides down over the eyes. 🕊️ Visual reality disappears. What remains is pure feeling, naked, offered. The torso leans back, returns, then bends forward. The hands touch the floor. The thighs stretch and it heats up, as Alexandre says, marveling at the morning’s intensity.
In the right-angle pose, emotions surface. “If tears come, they come,” Alexandre murmurs. 💖 And this is where a first great realization settles in: relaxation brings buried emotions to the surface. It is no accident; it is how a liberated body actually works. “There’s so much relaxation and surrender that emotions can come up, it’s normal. That’s also what it’s for.”
Then comes a precious teaching on the two brains. 🌟 Alexandre shares the latest discoveries: we have a conscious brain and an automatic brain. Yoga develops precisely this second brain. “I surrender, I disappear, I let the other brain take care of everything, and it rests me.” What a liberation. What a relief to dare to stop controlling everything.
A powerful mantra takes hold: “I release in love everything that keeps me from existing and expressing myself.” 💫 And every voice in the room takes it up and makes it its own. The arms open wide into a cross, vertical and horizontal, and Alexandre declares his love to life itself: “To life, I love you. To the universe, I love you.” Tears flow. Love without an object reveals itself as the true nature of the heart.
“I activate my healing hands, I activate. I remember that my hands heal, I remember.”
The hands come to rest on the lower back, warm, alive. 🤍 An energy healing we offer ourselves, in the lumbar area. The energy of healing, the energy of love circulates. And then comes the initiation into infinite kindness. “I am kindness incarnate.” Alexandre immediately adds that this gentleness rules out neither boundaries nor intelligence. Kindness and sovereignty coexist.
The pelvis begins to dance. 🌿 Circles, small at first, then large, unlocking the organs. An initiation into belly dance unfolds, in connection with the Maghreb, with everyone who follows the broadcasts. The body burps, yawns, lets go. “I release in love everything that wants to control my physical body.” Energetic digestion does its work.
Then comes the frog, breath of fire, three minutes of intensity. 🔥 Everyone chooses: keep going with the frog, do push-ups, or sit down. What matters isn’t performance, it’s feeling. Alexandre gently reminds us: “There’s nothing to succeed at, nothing to force. There’s no goal other than: what does this do to me?”
Then cat and cow, on all fours, the back undulating between hollow and arch. 🐾 The stretches flow one into the next, the tongue sometimes sticks out, like a cat stretching in the sun. And then comes the dragon, a deep hip-opening pose, preceded by the mountain that prepares the ground.
Rest on the back. Three minutes in which the cosmic clown shows up. 😄 “When there’s no one left, it laughs.” This splendid phrase from Alexandre reminds us that deep joy is not something to conquer but something to set free. Laughter emerges from the void, from total surrender.
Then the strap stretches, right leg then left leg at 90 degrees. 🦋 The thighs heat up, trembling sometimes appears. “If it trembles, it trembles. Something is adapting, actually training itself to receive a lot of energy.” We are preparing the body for Kundalini risings; it is a subtle training.
“The question isn’t how to find nirvana again, but how to simply be what I already am. Laughter, bliss, nirvana, ecstasy, euphoria: that is our nature.”
And here the heart of the teaching reveals itself. 💫 Nothing to attain. Nothing to add. Just remove. Buddha nature is already here, intact, luminous. The question turns upside down: not “how can I be happy”, but “how can I remove everything that keeps me from being happy”. Dizzying. Liberating.
The session closes with conscious walking, blindfolded. 🌅 Alexandre sets the intention, “walk”, then disappears. The second brain takes over. And it walks. All by itself. Conscious hugs multiply around the room, touch is magnified tenfold, the temperature of the air becomes perceptible, the birds are singing. It is training for the afternoon’s forest walk.
Then the blindfold comes off, the eyes open, but the walking goes on, all by itself. 🙏 The altered state of consciousness, which is in fact our natural state, settles in for the day. “It can do anything in this state, even work.”
The Postures of the Session
🧘 Suspended pose with arms extended — Urdhva Hastasana
The posture: Standing, feet firmly rooted in the ground, the arms slowly rise toward the sky. The toes contract; the glutes, abs and thighs engage. The body becomes a suspended vertical line, held by deep breathing through the nose.
Benefits for the body: Stretches the shoulder blades and lower back, strengthens the posterior muscle chain, opens the rib cage and encourages full, ample breathing.
🧘 Hooked-thumbs pose — Anuvittasana variation
The posture: Standing, the thumbs hook together at the lower back; then the torso gently leans back, returns to vertical, then bends forward while the arms rise behind. Inhaling through the nose accompanies each movement.
Benefits for the body: Mobilizes the shoulders and trapezius muscles, stretches the backs of the thighs, makes the spine more supple.
🧘 Forward fold — Uttanasana
The posture: Standing, the torso lowers toward the thighs and the hands come to touch the floor. Press into the hands with each exhale to stretch the backs of the legs. The knees can bend depending on the day’s flexibility.
Benefits for the body: Stretches the hamstrings and calves, decompresses the lumbar spine, calms the nervous system.
🧘 Standing right-angle pose — Ardha Uttanasana
The posture: The hands rest on the knees and the back lengthens parallel to the floor, forming a right angle with the legs. The head stays in line with the spine, gaze toward the floor.
Benefits for the body: Strengthens the back, stretches the hamstrings, develops postural awareness.
🧘 Lateral neck bends — neck variation of Parsva Konasana
The posture: The arms rise overhead, then the right elbow bends and drops behind the head. Repeat on the left side. The movement is slow, breathed, surrendered.
Benefits for the body: Stretches the triceps and the sides of the body, opens the shoulders, releases tension in the neck.
🧘 Head rotations — Anatman movement
The posture: The head draws large circles in one direction, then the other. The heels lift slightly and the whole body follows the movement of the chin. Awareness stays at the chin.
Benefits for the body: Mobilizes the cervical vertebrae, stretches the lower back, improves blood flow to the head.
🧘 Five Tibetans pose — backbend
The posture: Standing, hands on the lower back, the torso gently leans back without forcing. The spine extends backward at its own pace, each person according to their flexibility.
Benefits for the body: Opens the rib cage, stretches the abdominals, strengthens the back.
🧘 Pelvic circles — Anatman movement
The posture: Standing, knees slightly bent, the pelvis draws circles, small at first and then larger and larger. Move to the left, back, to the right, forward, then change direction.
Benefits for the body: Unlocks the hips and sacrum, massages the abdominal organs, improves balance.
🧘 Frog pose — Mandukasana
The posture: Squatting, back nice and straight, head upright, hands in anjali mudra in front of the heart. The gaze stays forward. Breath of fire: the air moves in and out through the nose at a rapid pace.
Benefits for the body: Strengthens the thighs and calves, opens the hips, stimulates digestion and vital energy.
🧘 Cat and cow pose — Marjaryasana / Bitilasana
The posture: On all fours, the back rounds on the exhale (cat), then hollows on the inhale as the head lifts (cow). The tongue can stick out in cat to release tension.
Benefits for the body: Makes the whole spine more supple, massages the digestive organs, relieves tension in the back.
🧘 Downward mountain pose — Adho Mukha Svanasana
The posture: The forearms press into the floor, the pelvis rises, the legs stretch. The back lengthens and the shoulder blades engage. Press firmly into the hands.
Benefits for the body: Stretches the calves and hamstrings, strengthens the arms and shoulders, decompresses the spine.
🧘 Dragon pose — Utthan Pristhasana
The posture: From mountain, one leg steps forward, the foot outside the hand. The shoulders align above the hands. To go deeper, the back knee slides further back. Alternate right and left.
Benefits for the body: Deeply opens the hips and psoas, stretches the hip flexors, strengthens the legs.
🧘 Leg stretch with a strap — Supta Padangusthasana
The posture: Lying on your back, a strap goes under the sole of the foot and the leg rises toward the sky to form a right angle. The other leg stays pressed flat to the floor. The neck stays relaxed; it’s the forearms that do the pulling.
Benefits for the body: Deeply stretches the backs of the thighs, relieves the lower back, improves hip flexibility.
🧘 Knees to chest — Apanasana
The posture: Lying on your back, the knees draw up toward the torso and the arms wrap around them. The back rounds; the head and neck stay completely relaxed.
Benefits for the body: Relieves the lower back, massages the intestines, releases gas and aids digestion.
🧘 Conscious walking — Anatman movement
The posture: Standing, blindfolded, set the intention “walk” and then let the automatic brain take over. Feel the arches of your feet, the warmth of the floor, the temperature of the air, your balance with every step.
Benefits for the body: Develops proprioception, strengthens balance, refines sensory awareness and coordination.
If you’re not moved, filled with bliss, then you haven’t done enough yoga.
The question isn’t how to find nirvana again, but how to simply be what I already am.
When there’s no one left, it laughs.
