Yoga Anatman: Dare to Be, Dare to Order from the Universe

Yoga Anatman: Dare to Be, Dare to Order from the Universe

This article is a synthesis of the Yoga Anatman session of September 29, 2026, the first morning of a retreat week in which something opened up — gently, almost imperceptibly — like a door we had forgotten to push.

There are mornings when being late becomes a gift. ✨ Eight minutes past eight. A record, Alexandre says with a smile, and already something relaxes in the room, in Lusigny as well as online, because perfection is no longer expected.

And you, you are here. Perhaps wrapped in your blanket, perhaps with the blindfold already over your eyes, perhaps simply curious about what happens when you allow yourself to be exactly who you are, on a Tuesday morning as October draws near. 🌿

Sovereignty Rediscovered

Imagine for a moment. You are standing, feet like roots, arms spread wide, and something in you — something very old — dares to say yes. Yes to the stretch. Yes to the pleasure. Yes to this breathing body. 🦋

This is how the session begins. Not with discipline, but with permission. The central teaching will emerge little by little, as something self-evident: I am my own authority. And this authority is not something you beg for. It is something you realize.

In the mantras that punctuate the practice, one verb keeps coming back, insistent, almost haunting: to dare. Dare to express yourself. Dare to be. Dare to order from the universe. 💫 And behind this verb lies a teaching of quiet power that will unfold throughout the morning.

The Morning’s Teaching

At the heart of sharing the elixir, Alexandre speaks the words that will nourish the whole session. A hot green tea in your hands, silence all around, and this certainty settling in: you are your own sovereignty. 👑

“The more sovereign you become, the more you will command matter, since you are the authority. You are your own sovereignty. And so you have the permission, the authority to command matter and therefore to create the life of your dreams.”

Do you hear that? Authority is not somewhere out there, in some higher power you would have to convince, charm or deserve. It is within you, intact, and always has been. ✨

The teaching is woven around TCR — Thought, Command, Result — a principle Alexandre reframes that morning with a very simple image: ordering from the universe the way you order parcels. A clear intention, a signal sent out, an echo coming back. 📦

But to place an order, you first have to allow yourself. And this is where the liberation mantras take on their full power. “I lovingly release everything that would make me believe that being is not done.” How many times, as children, were we told to be quiet, to behave, to make ourselves smaller? 🌱

“I lovingly release everything that would make me believe I don’t have the right to exist fully and to express myself fully.”

The elixir then becomes a ritual of gentle reprogramming. Each sip infused with the words, each word supported by the relaxed body, each tear welcome because it carries an old belief away with it. 💞

And there is this luminous phrase that distills the teaching: “Gratitude for already being what I am.” Not gratitude for what I will become, nor gratitude for what I will have earned. Gratitude for what is, now, in this breathing body, in this beating heart, in this consciousness looking at itself.

The Non-Self gently surfaces in these words. For if you already are what you are, then there is no one left to build. There is only presence to embody, and sovereignty to exercise effortlessly. 🤍

Then, later in the practice, the live realization: life happens without you. Automatic mode. The body walks on its own, the yoga does itself, life unfolds by itself. Your job is no longer to control. Your job is to consent, to dare, and to receive with gratitude what the universe delivers to you.

Realizations During Yoga Anatman

🎁 This 10-minute excerpt of the session’s realizations (in French) is offered to you by ANATMAN TV.

From the very first minutes, Alexandre invites a simple gesture: raise your hands, hang as if suspended, feel your feet on the ground. 🌱 And already, in this morning stretch, something is being said: pleasure is not a bonus, it is the very path of yoga.

“If you’re not yet in pleasure and ecstasy, it means you haven’t done enough yoga yet,” he slips in, and you can hear a smile ripple through the room. The pleasure of stretching becomes a compass, an intimate landmark, a sign that the body is saying yes.

“I surrender to the inner yogi.”

This first mantra, gently repeated, sets the inner posture for the whole session. It is not about doing yoga. It is about letting it happen. There is something in you that knows. An inner yogi, an inner masseur, a body that knows its own paths. 🕊️

Then comes the side stretch, right arm raised like the Statue of Liberty, left foot lifting, spine opening. And the mantra becomes more precise: “I surrender to my inner sister.” My inner sister does her work. The tensions on the right side melt away effortlessly, because we have stopped clenching.

Next, chin circles slowly trace a geography of the neck. Each at their own rhythm, each at their own speed. ✨ And in this slowing down, the heart smiles — Alexandre says so, and it’s true, you can feel it.

“Life, I love you. I am in love with you. I surrender to you. Gratitude for this beautiful life and this beautiful video game.”

Video game. The word slips out, almost in passing, and yet it holds the whole teaching: this existence is a sacred game, and you are at once the player, the controller and the character. 🌟

Then comes the pelvic hula-hoop, and this is where the first physical releases make themselves felt. Burping, yawning, crying. Each sensation is welcomed like a precious guest. “If it burps, it burps. It can yawn, it can cry. It’s releasing.” 💞

The squatting frog, with three minutes of breath of fire, literally lights up the body. The air comes in on its own. The air goes out on its own. And in this mechanical exhalation, something deeper is at work: the inner fire, tapas, gently burning away the veils.

Then comes the moment of the elixir — this shared green tea, infused with the mantras, drunk in full awareness. And here the mantras fall like raindrops on dry earth:

“I lovingly release the memory programs, the conditioning, everything that would make me believe I will be judged, criticized, that I can’t just be me.”

Tears flow. A lot. And every tear is welcome. 🤍 Alexandre then introduces another mantra, disarmingly simple: “Gratitude for already being what I am.” Already. Not tomorrow. Not after some evolution. Already.

Each person shares a word in a pop-up to say how they feel. In love with my cells — Lilith. Stretched — a name we can guess. A smile of pleasure — Philippe. Relaxed. Nirvana. Up high. Happy. Laughing. And in this circle of simple words, a tribe takes shape, invisible and yet tangible. 💫

It is in the middle of the yoga on the back, during the leg stretch with the strap, that Alexandre has this live realization, and he shares it out loud. You know TCR, he says. Three letters for a teaching that has run through Anatman for years: Thought, Command, Result. An intention, a signal sent out, an echo received.

“It’s exactly like when you order parcels. You order and you receive.”

The image is crystal clear. The universe is a cosmic delivery service. 📦 And the mantra that follows makes everyone smile: “Gratitude for placing orders. Gratitude for ordering from the universe. Gratitude for receiving what I ordered.” And of course — Alexandre makes a point of it — the idea is to order consciously.

Then comes the most remarkable moment of the session: the conscious walk, eyes closed, blindfold on. The intention is set: walk. And the body walks. On its own. 🦋

In the inner darkness, encounters happen by chance. Isabelle is there. Lilith too. Philippe appears. A spontaneous hug, then another. The conscious walk becomes a conscious hug, and no one saw the shift coming. That’s the beauty of life, Alexandre says: chance brings people your way. Just like in real life. Just like in this sacred video game.

“You don’t need yourself to function. Your life will happen without you. That’s automatic mode.”

Automatic mode. A new expression, dropped almost by surprise, which perhaps sums up the whole Anatman path. When the little “me” stops steering, something vaster takes over. The body walks. Life happens. And you are there, a wonder-struck witness, inside a dance far greater than you. ✨

The eyes open, but the body keeps walking on its own. It seeks the stretch, it seeks the pleasure. You have become unnecessary, and that is the best news of the morning. 🌅

The Postures of the Session

🧘 Suspended Vertical Stretch — Urdhva Hastasana
The posture: Standing, feet parallel and rooted to the ground, hands rise toward the sky as if hanging from an invisible thread. Rise onto the balls of the feet, engage the calves, thighs, abs and glutes, gaze fixed straight ahead, body as rigid as a vertical plank.
Benefits for the body: Stretches the spine and lower back, strengthens the calves and postural muscles, improves balance.

🧘 Gentle Backbend — Ardha Chakrasana
The posture: Standing, thumbs hooked behind the back, inhale, then gently tilt the spine backward without forcing, and calmly return to vertical. Follow with a forward bend, torso lowering toward the thighs, knees bent if needed.
Benefits for the body: Opens the chest, adds flexibility to the shoulders and spine, stretches the backs of the legs.

🧘 Side Stretch — Parsva Urdhva Hastasana
The posture: Right arm raised like the Statue of Liberty, lean to the left, right heel lifting, spine stretching long along the side. The elbow rises, the hand massages the nape and neck. Then the other side.
Benefits for the body: Stretches the flanks, obliques and lumbar area, releases tension in the neck.

🧘 Chin Circles — Anatman movement
The posture: Head tilted back to the left, then slow, wide circles with the chin, moving through the right, the front, the left. Change direction. Breath synchronized with the movement.
Benefits for the body: Mobilizes the cervical spine, relaxes the nape, releases tension in the jaw.

🧘 Five Tibetans Backward Surrender Posture — Anatman movement

Benefits for the body: Lumbar flexibility, releases blockages in the pelvis, mobilizes the hips.

🧘 Squatting Frog — Malasana
The posture: Squatting, feet apart, back straight, head straight, hands in namaste in front of the heart. Breath of fire: quick, active exhalations and passive inhalations, for three minutes.
Benefits for the body: Opens the hips, strengthens the pelvic floor, stimulates digestion, activates the inner fire.

🧘 Reverse Plank — Purvottanasana
The posture: Seated, hands behind the pelvis, gradually lift the pelvis toward the sky, head relaxed backward, neck stretching, hold with breath of fire.
Benefits for the body: Strengthens the arms, shoulders and glutes, opens the heart, stretches the throat.

🧘 Swimmer Posture — Supta Urdhva Hastasana
The posture: Lying on the back, arms extended behind the head, maximum stretch from the fingertips to the heels, gently pressing into the heels.
Benefits for the body: Full stretch of the front body, decompresses the spine, opens the shoulders.

🧘 Straight Leg with Strap — Supta Padangusthasana
The posture: Lying on the back, a strap around the foot, leg extended vertically, the other leg stretched out on the floor, neck completely relaxed, forearms pulling on the strap. Then the other leg.
Benefits for the body: Deep stretch of the hamstrings and calves, releases the sciatic nerve, adds flexibility to the lower back.

🧘 Blindfolded Conscious Walk — Anatman movement
The posture: Standing, blindfold over the eyes, intention set to “walk,” let the body move freely around the room, forward or backward, let encounters happen, then open the eyes while keeping the bodily presence.
Benefits for the body: Develops proprioception, deep grounding, trust in the body, letting go of mental control.

You don’t need yourself to function. Your life will happen without you. That’s automatic mode.

The more sovereign you become, the more you will command matter, since you are the authority.

Gratitude for already being what I am.

Voices from the We

Gratitude and Sovereignty

“Gratitude for my crown, my sovereignty, my power and the 32 push-ups” — Shakti Anne

This message, posted right after the practice, sums up the morning’s teaching on its own: the inner crown, embodied sovereignty, and that joyful nod to the 32 push-ups, a reminder that the body is a path too. 👑

Hearts Opening

  • “hi there, lots of hugs” — Shakti Anne
  • “Gratitude 💖💖💖🙏” — Sandrine
  • “Have a beautiful day everyone 💖💖💖🙏” — Sandrine
  • “have a good day everyone ❤️‍🩹🙏” — Valérie
  • “Thank you so much gratitude I love you” — Valérie
  • “have a great day, all of you …!!” — Rafaël

In these simple words, the invisible fabric of the Anatman tribe is woven. Hearts, joined hands, “I love you”s sent to faces sometimes never seen. 💞 And yet, something recognizes itself. Something is together, through the screens and beyond.
